This is the original mix of the chorus of Don't Let Go by James May. I chose this song for my remixes because I found it to be a song that had a lot of potential with groove changes. I fell in love with the gentle and accomodating nature of the vocals. I have it on repeat constantly!
This is a version of the chorus with me adding live sound to the mix. I used an array of supporting/background vocals to support the lead vocalist, as well as light elements of percussion.
This is a mix of the chorus that I felt had a lot of emotion. I stripped the percussion, and ensured that the vocals had room within the mix to breathe and be free. I love this intereperetation because you can focus so much more on what he's saying.
This is by far my favorite mix of this chorus, strictly because of the fresh take on its' tempo. I truly am in love with how I set up the doubletime percussion in this version because of the new timing, the vocal delivery feels so much more raw.
